The Alberta Chapter host an Annual Golf Tournament towards the end of September at the River Bend Golf Course in Red Deer to raise funds for sponsoring scholarship at the four universities/collages in Alberta for students studying in concrete related disciplines. This event is a wonderful opportunity to support education in our industry and for networking with our peers.
The Fourth Annual Texas Golf Tournament was held on Thursday September 22 and was attended by 65 players and raised $8,800 which will be invested in endowment policies held at one or more of the Universities/Collage that the Chapter Supports.
The 1st place team was Joe Victor, Brett Bingham, Hank Kotun & Dwayne Kotun, with a scored of 54.
The 2nd place team was Dennis Hanson, Prez Skiba, Franz Lennarson & Terry Diduck with a score of 57.
The most honest team went to Blair Ouellette, John Kearsley, David Impey & John Spronken with a score of 77 (Picture #34).
Additional funds were raised through the sale of Mulligans ($300) and 50/50 draw ($470) which was won by John Vettergreen who donated a portion of his winnings to the fund
